The Muslim Student Council was established to serve as the national umbrella body for AhlulBayt Islamic Societies (ABSocs) across the United Kingdom. What began as a small network of university societies has grown into a nationwide movement representing over 5,000 Muslim students at 45+ institutions.
Our mission is to foster the spiritual, intellectual, and social development of Muslim students through organised campus societies โ while promoting understanding, unity, and community engagement across the UK.
The MSC operates at two levels. Nationally, the MSC coordinates shared resources, campaigns, the annual conference, and the overarching network strategy. Locally, each university ABSoc is autonomous โ running its own events, managing its own membership, and serving its own campus community. Together, they form a unified, supportive movement.
